#15 - Cleanse Metals and Chemicals

It is possible to cleanse heavy metals and chemicals from your body. But there are precautions that should be taken as well.

One of the main things to understand about cleansing these types of substances is that it takes time. In fact, it can take 1-2 years to clear certain chemicals and 3-5 years to clear certain metals. Even the quickest route - chelation therapy - takes at least a year of treatment.

Clearing these substances too fast can be harmful to your health, both physical and mental. Metals and chemicals can be stored in the fatty areas around your organs, they can be stored in bodily tissues and even around the brain. Cleansing means you have to put these substances into circulation so they can find their way out. If you try to cleanse "too quickly," with an overly restricted diet and too many supplements for a prolonged period of time, all the extra free-flowing toxins will cause more harm to your body than if they were "stored."

There are steps you can take to help the process.

  • Start with a general colon cleanse to ensure waste can leave quickly. Be sure you're eliminating at least once a day.
  • Take plenty of green superfoods so the chlorophyll can absorb the toxins instead of your body tissues
  • Take bentonite clay a couple times a day to attract the toxins to help move them out. Bentonite will not soak into your body so you can be sure any toxins it attracts will leave the system.
  • Use bodywork such as colon hydrotherapy and body wraps to help the chemical toxins leave quickly.
  • Don't try to do it all at once. To cleanse safely you should do a program for no more than 6 weeks with at least 2 months off before you do another program.
